Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the Supreme Court Law Clerk recruitment:

✔ Candidate must be a Law Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (including integrated degree course in law) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
✔ Candidates currently in final year of the law course (5th year of 5-year law or 3rd year of 3-year LLB) are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of acquiring the degree before taking up the assignment.
✔ Must possess research, analytical, and writing skills along with good computer knowledge and legal research tools usage (e.g., SCC Online, LexisNexis, Manupatra, e-SCR).

Age Limit (As on 07 February 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 32 Years
  • Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Application Fee

All Candidates:₹750/- (Plus bank charges, where applicable)

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in three phases:

  1. Part I – Multiple Choice Based Test
  2. Part II – Subjective Written Test
  3. Personal Interview

Remuneration / Assignment Features

Selected candidates will be engaged on a contractual basis for the term 2026-27 and will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹1,00,000 (approx). The assignment offers excellent exposure to legal research, drafting and judicial functioning at the Supreme Court level.
